Who we are
The association of Multiple Sclerosis of Ibiza and Formentera (AEMIF: Asociación de Esclerosis Múltiple de Ibiza y Formentera) is a charity founded in 1997 with the objective of providing specialised services to those affected on the islands.
AEMIF currently has 180 members and there are 57 people affected.
Since 2011 AEMIF was declared a “Public Utility Association” (which allows the tax deduction benefits for Spanish residents).
What we do
Since 2007, given the opening of the Neurological Rehabilitation Centre and the great demand of services, the association decided to also include services to other neurodegenerative diseases, which include Parkinson, neuropathies and polyneuropathies, lateral sclerosis, muscular dystrophies, spinal injuries, cerebrovascular accidents, and cerebellar ataxias.
