Would you like to know more about the local culture of Ibiza? Visit the Ibiza and Formentera Ethnographic Museum of Can Ros, in Santa Eularia des Riu. This wonderful Payesa house is a great example of Ibicenco architecture. It has a proxo or main room, a kitchen, several cases de dormir or sleeping rooms, an almazara or olive mill, a porxet or balcony, a well and a tanker.
Inside the Ibiza and Formentera ethnographic museum of Can Ros there are lots of Ibicenco objects. There is weapons, tools, music instruments, and lots of personal objects. From time to time they organize workshops about clothing, shoes, or toys.
The Ibiza and Formentera ethnographic museum is open:
From 1st of October to 31th of March from Tuesday to Satruday, from 10:00 to 14:00, and on Sundays from 11:00 to 13:30.
From the 1st of April till the 30th of September, the museum is also open on the evenings from Tuesday to Saturday from 17:· 0 to 20:00.
Mondays, bankholidaus and from the 20th of December to the 20th of January the museum is close.
